Welcome to the Family Support Services Website. We believe that it is important for parents to know about and be involved in their child/ren's education, so we post monthly information about classroom and after-school activities.

Brookline Kindergarten Extended Day News

Last Year

April, May and June were busy months at Brookline. We visited a Senior Citizen's program and performed songs and dances for everyone's enjoyment. We celebrated Earth Day and made special "I Don’t Litter" bags. Doing this made us realize that Earth Day should be every day.

Our annual "Celebrate America" show was a great success—we sang, danced and the children demonstrated all they had learned about our great country. To honor the explorations of Lewis & Clark we made "armchair visits" to our National Parks, and talked about the Louisiana Purchase, the Corps of Discovery, and Sacagawea.

Next Year

Even though we are now on summer break, we are getting ready for the coming year. If you have already enrolled in extended day you should have received information about your program and your School Closing package in the mail.

If you have not yet enrolled in our 2008-2009 programs, you can still download an enrollment form (click on the document you want to download under Related Information in the right sidebar) and mail it in with your enrollment fee. The school closing package can also be downloaded—but only until September 29th!

School starts September 2nd.

Brookline After School Program News

Last year

The year went ever so quickly, and our students at the Brookline After School program spent their afternoons enjoying the varied and often beautiful weather during our many outdoor activities. Indoors, we continued our games, activities and homework supervision time. We maintained our quilting tradition—with students creating another class quilt. Be sure to look for a collection of these quilts on display as you walk the halls of Brookline.

Next Year

We can't wait to see all our returning students in the fall—and notice how they've all grown. We also look forward to welcoming our new students.

If you have not yet signed up for our before and after school programs—be sure to download a form and send it in!

Don't forget to consider the School Closing Package too. You must sign up before September 29th.

A Safety Reminder – call when your child is absent

The Brookline classroom number is 610-853-3724. Please remember to call when your child will not be coming on a scheduled day. If your child does not show up as expected, the teacher must devote considerable time to locating him/her in order to be sure he/she is safe. We care about your children—so let us know when we should not expect them to arrive at our after school program.

Licensing and Teacher Certification credentials

Extended Day programs are state licensed. All site directors and assistant teachers are certified.
