Wayne Kindergarten Extended Day News
Last Year
We can't believe that the year went so quickly and our summer vacation is here. It was a wonderful school year that we ended with our annual K-Club show. The children sang American Bandstand songs and did some neat dances. They worked hard on their performances and we were very proud of them.
Next Year
Even though we are now on summer break, we are getting ready for the coming year. If you have already enrolled in extended day you should have received information about your program and your School closing package in the mail.
If you have not yet enrolled in our 2008-2009 programs, you can still download an enrollment form (click on the document you want to download under Related Information in the right sidebar) and mail it in with your enrollment fee. The school closing package can also be downloaded—but only until September 29th!
School starts September 2nd.

Wayne After School Program News
Last year
Once the spring weather arrived, "outside" was the theme. Kickball, soccer, tag, football, sand-play, heavy playground use and "Squish the Lemon" kept the kids busy outdoors. Indoors, arts and crafts like bead lizards, jewelry making, painting, and puffballs were popular.
We all got excited when Mr. Ben brought in an original Nintendo NES. He wanted to show the children how much technology has changed, and we certainly all appreciated the lesson. We also got into Tie-Dying, airplane designing, pizza parties, kite building, water colors, Cinco de Mayo, capture the flag, and scavenger hunts before the end of school.
In closing, I'd like to thank our terrific staff for such a great year—without them the program would not be what it is.
Next Year
We can't wait to see our returning students in the fall—and notice how they've all grown. We also look forward to welcoming our new students.
If you have not yet signed up for our before and after school programs be sure to download a form and send it in!
Don't forget to consider the School Closing Package too. You must sign up before September 29th.
A Safety Reminder call when your child is absent
The Wayne classroom number is 610-293-0338. Please remember to call when your child will not be coming on a scheduled day. If your child does not show up as expected, the teacher must devote considerable time to locating him/her in order to be sure he/she is safe. We care about your children—so let us know when we should not expect them to arrive at our after school program.
Licensing and Teacher Certification credentials
Extended Day programs are state licensed. All site directors and assistant teachers are certified.
